The General Data Protection Regulation is a transparency statement that allows customers to know what we are doing with your data.
WHAT DATA OF MINE WILL YOU BE COLLECTING?
Name, Address, Phone Number, Gender, DOB, Reason for Purchase, Newsletter Subscription Tick Box.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING WITH MY PERSONAL DATA?
Your name and address will be used to enable us to post your order to you, whilst your gender and DOB will help us as a business (only) understand you and your reasons for purchasing from us. This will help us improve any future services that we hope to provide for our customers.
The data that we collect will be kept within the company and will only be used for distribution and internal marketing purposes. The use of your data will allow us to contact you if there are any problems with your subscription or orders with us.
Finally, if you subscribe to to our newsletter we will be sending you exciting news and updates from the Cereal Killer Cafe.
WHAT IF I DON’T WANT YOU USING MY DATA FOR INTERNAL MARKETING PURPOSES?
Under GDPR you have the ‘right to restrict’ the way we process your data, which basically means if you don’t want us to use your data for internal marketing, you can email us separately at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. We are happy to use your data in a way that makes you feel more comfortable.
WILL YOUR BE SHARING ANY OF MY PERSONAL DATA?
No, we will never share your data with any third parties – so your data is safe in our hands.
HOW LONG WILL YOU BE KEEPING MY DATA FOR?
We will keep your data for two for a maximum of two years unless you tell us to remove your data before the two years are over. Under GDPR you have the right to removal, which means at any time you can contact us, and we will remove your data from our databases. It is important to note that if you ask for your data to be removed whilst you have an ongoing subscription, we will be unable to send any purchased subscriptions that you have already paid for.
